Uzbek language and Social Sciences

In 1936, in connection with the establishment of the Tashkent State Conservatory, the departments “History” and “Philosophy” were opened, which in 1986 were combined into the department of “Social and Political Sciences”. In 2009, in connection with the accession of the Department of Physical Education, it was transformed into the “Social and Humanitarian Sciences” and renamed in 2020 as the “Department of Social Sciences”.

Over the years, professors I. A. Nemirovsky, A. Ziyatov, associate professors Z. Degtyareva, M. Ganiev, A. Khaidarov, N. Berdaliev, S. Agzamkhodzhaeva, D. Khimmatov, T. Choriev, O. Khudoikulov taught at the department. The department was headed by A. Norbekov.

The teaching staff is actively involved in educational activities, and also takes part in republican and international scientific and practical conferences and seminars.

The department of Uzbek and foreign languages ​​has been operating since 1947 by merging the departments of “Foreign languages” and “Uzbek language and literature”, founded in 1991 by SFU, Professor Navoi scholar, Hero of Uzbekistan Suyima Ganieva. found J. Peretsman, K. Karomatova, L. Salimova worked at the Department of Foreign Languages, and S. Ganiyeva and H. Yuldasheva worked at the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature. In 2005-2006, both departments merged and became the department of “Uzbek and foreign languages”. S. Hamdamova worked as the head of the department. Currently, f.f.n. Associate Professor S.Nurmatova is the head of the department. Today, at the department of “Uzbek and foreign languages” associate professors S.Nurmatova, S.Hamdamova, M.Abdullayeva, senior teachers S.Rahmonova, I.Shakirova, N.Talipova and teachers N.Kurbanova, N. Ruzmetova, M. Akbarova are working. Members of the department are engaged in research, spiritual and educational work. The department cooperates with the department of “Languages” of the Institute of Design and Art named after K. Behzod.
