Composer, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan (1961), people’s Artist of Uzbekistan (1972) Manas Leviev draws his early musical knowledge from Domla Khalim Ibadov, Abdukadir Ismailov, Abdurakhman Umarov, Matyusuf Kharratov at Samarkand Scientific Research Institute of music and choreography (1930-32). In 1933-37, he studied at the Leningrad country of musical knowledge, and after graduating there he studied at the Leningrad Conservatory.Kushnaryov, D.He continues his studies in the Shostakovich class. In the last 5th stage of the conservatory, at his own discretion, he joins the ranks of the participants of the 2nd World War. Badly injured on the battlefield, Leviev returns to Tashkent in 1942.

Many of the composer’s works blend the melodies of the Uzbek and Tajik peoples with the multi-vocal mediums inherent in composing. The melodies are elegant and attractive, the harmonies are simple and succulent, and almost all of their works are life-giving, watered with a spirit of exuberance.
