Frideric François Chopin is a Polish composer and pianist. Born on February 22, 1810 (according to other accounts, March 1) in Zhelyazova-Vole, near Warsaw, in the family of a teacher. Chopin’s musical talent showed up very early. In 1817, the first polonezes of the young composer were published (in total, in 1817-1846, Chopin created 16 polonezes), and from that time he began to perform in concerts as a virtuoso pianist. Schopen’s first music teacher was Czech musician V.Was zhivny. Later he entered the Higher School of music in Warsaw, where he became a famous composer, director of the Warsaw Conservatory J. He studied under Elsner. In 1827, Chopin completed his studies and began performing his own compositions and regularly performing at concerts. In 1828, the composer arranged his first tour of Berlin and then Vienna, which brought him great success.

From 1829, Schopen’s fame began to grow not only as a brilliant pianist, but also as a composer. A true piano poet, he had devoted almost all his creativity to this instrument. He wrote two piano concertos (1829 and 1830), three sonatas, including A B-moll Sonata with a famous mourning March (1828-1844), 4 ballads (1835-1842), 21 Nocturnes (1827-1846), 27 Etudes. (1829-1839), 25 preludes (1831-1839). In addition, Chopin composed 19 songs (1829-1847), a sonata for cello and piano (1846), and many others. In 1830, the composer left Warsaw forever, living briefly in Vienna before moving to Paris. Chopin was particularly close to the writer Aurora Dudevant, better known under the pseudonym George Sand. For eight years he was a friend of the composer. In 1837, Chopin travelled to England and Scotland. He spent 1838-1839 on the Spanish island of Majorca. The last days of the musician’s life are covered by a lung disease that caused his death.

He died in Paris on 17 October 1849 and was buried in the per Lachaise cemetery. In his will, Chopin asked to take his heart to his homeland of Poland, the composer’s heart would be buried in the Church of the Holy Cross in Warsaw.
