Functions of the department

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On transformation of the Tashkent State Conservatory into the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan” dated April 16, 2002 № 3052 and on the development of music art based on the national musical heritage of the Uzbek people. In order to create a new system of music education and improve the training of highly skilled cadres, it was re-established at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 315 dated 05.09.2002. The chair of solo singing, organized by the Tashkent State Conservatory, is the department of “Academic singing and opera training”. Since the first days of independence, the state has taken a great deal of attention to the development of music, including national and opera. As a result of the positive changes, the name of the faculty was changed to the name “Academic Singing” since 1992, “Academic Singing Opera Symphony” in 2016, “Academic Singing and Opera Training”.

Today, development of opera art, training of skilled personnel in the field is one of the priority directions of the state policy. “In this short period of time, there has been a lot of positive work to improve academic singing and opera, professionalism, and the creation and development of a singer-specific school. The department is actively working on the development of new generation educational and methodical literature. Professor M.
