PROPHYLACTIC ACTIVITY AIMED AT PREVENTING DRUG ABUSE AND DRUG CRIME

On 16 September  this year, anevent aimed at preventing drug addiction and drug crime took place at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan.

Mr. Sh. Gulomov, head of the department for coordinatiing activities ondrugcontrol of the National Drug Control Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan attended the meeting.

Feruza Kurbonova, head of the youth, spirituality and education department of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, provided full information about the functions of the national information and analytical center for the control of narcotic substances under the Cabinet of Ministers.

Sh.Gulomov, highlighted the significance of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 22, 2018 No. ZRU-503 “On Amending and Adding to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at Ensuring Public Safety” and the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers dated October 27, 2018 No. 878 “On Amendments and Additions to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, 2015 No. 330“ On improving the procedure for the importing,exporting and transiting drugsand other psychotropic substances into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, precursors, and theircirculation”.

In particular, information on illegal and restricted drugs, psychotropic substances, the “Drug-2018” event, as well as crimes committed by pupils and students at educational institutions of the republic was provided followed by the video presentation.

Further, the psychologist of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan I. Ruziev spoke and explained in detail the harmful effects of drug addiction on mental process and human health. The meeting was also attended by R. Sodiqov and A. Islomov – the methodologists of the Department for Work with Youth, Spirituality and Education of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, and  B. Zokirov Deputy Dean of the Pop Arts Department for Work with Youth.
